Why We Sponsor The Cins Army Initiative
By now, you may have heard of our CINS Army Initiative. (CINS stands for Collective Intelligence Network Security.) It’s a way for Sentinel IPS to give back to the InfoSec community with specific and actionable data we truly believe will help better protect all IT networks. In fact, we think it is a fundamental and undeniable human right to be free from malicious threats while using the Internet on any network. No one should be able to take that freedom away from you.
How Does It Work?
We use the intelligence we collect from our Sentinel IPS devices installed around the world to create the CINS Army List. Our list is comprised of thousands of suspected malicious IP addresses, and we combine it with data from other highly reputable security sources. The result? Enhanced network security. It also provides better context for incident response. Think of it as an extra layer of security for your network. And, it’s free and easy to use.
How Do I Get the CINS Army List?
Visit our CINS Army website to register. Once we receive your registration request, we will send you a link and unique token to download the threat intelligence. We provide this information in several formats, including STIX, Snort rules, Suricata rules and a simple text file. You choose the format most applicable to your network.
I Like It, How Can I Help?
Email us at [email protected] to learn how we can add your intelligence data to make the CINS Army List even stronger and more comprehensive. Help us raise awareness for CINS Army. Share the CINS Army message with your customers, industry partners and trade associations to help us spread the word. Better yet, introduce us to other security evangelists, who are just as passionate about network security as you are, so we can share our concept with them. This will ensure we are all marching in lock-step to support collaborative network security.
